German MotoGP: Quartararo Champion, Yamaha Removes Title Fast at Sachsenring

Fabio Quartararo be a champion MotoGP Germany 2022. El Diablo broke Yamaha’s 13-year title drought at the Sachsenring.

When racing at the Sachsenring Circuit, Sunday (19/6/2022) night WIB, Quartararo was able to appear dominant. The second start, he took the leading position since the first corner.

After that, Quartararo was not overtaken, devouring 29 laps with a time of 41 minutes 12.816 seconds. He was able to become the first Yamaha rider since 2009 to win at the Sachsenring. Previously, it was Valentino Rossi who led Yamaha to become a champion in the German MotoGP.

Honda is able to dominate in the last eight races. Marc Marquez led the Japanese manufacturer to win in eight consecutive years.

With this win, Quartarao is getting stronger in first place MotoGP standings 2022 with 172 points.

The race track

Quartararo got off to a great start! He was able to overtake Bagnaia when cornering in the first corner.

For two laps, Quartararo took the lead. Bagnaia had a disaster at the first corner of the second lap, he fell and failed to continue the race. On the same lap, Jian Mir also fell.

Five laps running, Takaaki Nakagami also fell. The LCR Honda rider kissed the gravel in sector 3.

Quartararo continued to lead for 13 laps. He was already 1.595 seconds ahead of Johann Zarco who was in second place.

Jack Miller crawled up! When the race left 13 laps, the Ducati rider was able to pass Maverick Vinales to take fourth place. Now, he is chasing Aleix Espargaro for a third podium finish. Vinales ultimately failed to finish. He had a problem with his motorbike.

Three laps remaining, Aleix Espargaro was overtaken by Jack Miller. The Aprilia rider made a mistake so that he could be preceded by the number 43 racer.

Quartararo ran up front. Until the race left two laps, the 24-year-old rider was more than 5 seconds away from Zarco in second position.

In 29 laps, Quartararo managed to finish first. He also won his third win in MotoGP 2022. Another victory was obtained in the Catalunya MotoGP two weeks ago and during the Portugal MotoGP race.
