Indeed, there are many attractions in Pangandaran. But if you go there, don’t miss to visit the Mosquito Museum which is the only educational tour in Pangandaran Regency.
The Mosquito Museum, the Pangandaran Health Research and Development Center, is under the auspices of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. The location is on Jalan Raya Pangandaran KM 3, Babakan Village, Pangandaran District, Pangandaran Regency.
In the mosquito museum, there are various types of mosquitoes researched in Pangandaran from various regions. Visitors can see a giant mosquito replica very clearly.
Pangandaran Research and Development Loka Mosquito Museum Lab Technician Ajat Sudrajat said visitors who come to the museum will be introduced to various types of mosquitoes in Indonesia.

Ajat explained, there are four types of mosquitoes found in Pangandaran, namely Aedes aegypty, Anopheles, Armigeres, and Sekules.
DetikJabar visited the R&D Workshop on Monday (18/7/2022). When entering the museum room, you can see directly a map of the spread of mosquito species in Indonesia, including West Java, complete with the scientific name of the mosquito.
After that there is a documentary room, in which there is a mosquito theater. There are documentaries that explain about the life and education of mosquitoes.
“If visitors from kindergarten to elementary school are shown a cartoon broadcast about mosquito education. So the spectacle is according to the age range,” said Ajat.
