Ducati is investing heavily in MotoGP 2022 by fielding eight riders at once. Not only has a large number of riders, the Ducati Desmosedici MotoGP bike is also very competitive and often climbs the podium. Marc Marquez also called MotoGP 2022 like a race of one brand, the Ducati Cup.
Marquez supports Francesco Bagnaia as a strong candidate for the 2022 MotoGP world champion. This was conveyed by the Repsol Honda rider after the Thailand MotoGP at the Buriram Circuit last weekend (2/10/2022).

“I bet on Pecco’s motorbike (Bagnaia)!” Marquez replied, quoted from Crash. “I mean, Ducati is Ducati and, as we have seen, there are a lot of good Ducati riders,” he stressed.
For information, Ducati has won 11 of the 17 series that have been held this season. Bagnaia won 6 times, Enea Bastianini 4 times, and Jack Miller 1 time.
Marquez continued adding, Ducati was so ambitious to win the world title this year. The Italian brand has been fasting for a long time since the last time in the 2007 season. Since then, Ducati has always been in the shadow of Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki. With so many riders defending the ‘Borgo Panigale’ banner, Marquez also said that this MotoGP season is like a one make race, aka one brand race.

“Ducati haven’t won the world title since 2007, so it’s only natural that there is a Ducati Cup here, and they have to take advantage of this. They have the best bike on the grid. So their riders (should be) in front and they have to use that power to win the championship.”
On the other hand, Marquez actually also puts more hope in the current leader of the standings, Fabio Quartararo. However, the Monster Energy Yamaha rider was not supported by a superior motorbike, plus Quartararo was very weak when racing in wet conditions.
“Fabio is Fabio. Fabio rides a motorbike very well. His weak point may be in rainy conditions, like today (at MotoGP Thailand,” said the rider nicknamed The Baby Alien who has won 6 MotoGP world titles.
Of the 17 series that have been held, Quartararo has only won 3 series for Yamaha. Currently, Quartararo’s position at the top of the standings is prone to being evicted by Bagnaia, who is only 2 points away.
