I was able to customize everything down to the zipper length, and with 16.5oz of down fill out of a total 25 oz quilt it has performed beautifully as low as 17 degrees this last winter. The real wild card is gryphon gear in that their quilts are 80% overfilled.

While fairly expensive at $425, its features and execution make it worth every penny. I recently sold my old but still viable feathered friends 20 degree mummy bag and other gear as i try to consolidate.

The zpacks classic sleeping bag is a great option if you’re a back sleeper and prefer using a hoodless zippered sleeping bag in cooler weather because it’s less. Ive now asked nunatak to make a 50 degree apex flat quilt that will act as an overquilt with the 3d quilt and also with specific clips so that i can throw it over my shoulders as an extra insulation layer while stopped and also an emergency quilt for my day trips. Bag remains unused and stored uncompressed.
I Also Carry A Dcf 8×10 Flat Tarp, Similar To The Seek Outside Dst Along With My Main Shelter.
