Queen Elizabeth II made a surprise when she suddenly appeared at the opening of the London train line. Whereas previously, the queen was said to be unable to attend.
CNN reported on Wednesday (18/5/2022) wearing a yellow outfit and a bright yellow hat, the Queen of England Elizabeth II appeared in the public eye. His presence at this celebration of the opening of the railroad took everyone by surprise.
The reason, Queen Elizbeth previously suffered from mobility problems and canceled several agendas in recent months. Including the opening of Parliament last week.
The opening of Parliament is a major constitutional responsibility and cannot be done without the queen. The Queen had to delegate that responsibility to Charles, Prince of Wales and William, Duke of Cambridge who is the country’s adviser.
During the inauguration of the train line, the Queen also received an Oyster trip card at Paddington Station, West London. But he didn’t take that route.
Queen Elizabeth II was also present with Prince Edward and was greeted by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Mayor of London Sadiq Khan.
“We are all so touched and touched and grateful to Her Majesty for coming to pave the way for Elizabeth today. It was amazing to see,” Johnson said.

About the new train line
The Elizabeth line known as the Crossrail was built on a much larger scale than the city’s existing “Tube” line. Giving this name as a form of respect for the queen. The first phase will be opened to the public on May 24.
The 62-mile network was built with a new 26-mile tunnel through central London. The tunnel is located in one of the most densely developed cities in the world. Crossrail is billed as the largest project in Europe.
The twin tunnels, 20 feet in diameter and up to 40 meters (130 feet) deep, meander around the building’s foundations, London’s underground tunnels, and many other structures and utilities. It took them three years to excavate between 2012 and 2015, using eight 1,000-ton tunnel drilling machines.
It is estimated that annually around 200 million passengers will use the Elizabeth line when it is fully opened.
