The New Yamaha XMAX Will Have a Look Similar to TMAX, Launching at the End of 2022


Yamaha is reportedly preparing the latest generation of XMAX. According to information circulating, Yamaha’s mainstay Maxi Series scooter will be given a refresher in terms of design, where it is believed that its appearance will be revamped to resemble the appearance of its older brother, Yamaha TMAX.

Quoted from Greatbikers, the newest Yamaha XMAX candidate has the product code B74. In order to make it look more attractive, Yamaha is predicted to give a more modern and aggressive look to the latest XMAX.

In terms of features and accessories will also be improved. Apart from having previous features such as the ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) braking system on the front and rear tires, the traction control system will reportedly also be embedded. Not only that, it is likely that there will also be an electric front shield feature to adjust the windshield height level electronically.

Other information, the newest XMAX will be equipped with a more comfortable suspension, and will most likely also be given the Y-Connect connectivity feature, which was previously installed on its siblings such as the NMAX 155 VVA and Aerox 155 VVA.

For the engine sector, of course, will have their respective variants. Globally, XMAX is currently offered with a choice of 125 cc, 250 cc, 300 cc and 400 cc engine classes. In Indonesia alone, XMAX is marketed with a 250 cc engine. And for the European market, XMAX is equipped with a 300 cc engine. Well, specifically for the European market, this XMAX 300 has reportedly passed Euro5 emissions.

In appearance, the new generation XMAX design is expected to be identical to the TMAX design which has sharp and sporty body lines. The latest Yamaha XMAX is expected to launch at the end of 2022 or early 2023
