Yamaha Monster Energy Team Unveils New Bike for MotoGP 2022

The Monster Energy Yamaha team has officially launched a racing bike for the 2022 MotoGP competition. The bike will be ridden by last season’s world champion Fabio Quartararo and his teammate, Franco Morbidelli.

The launch of the Yamaha racing motorbike was carried out on Friday (4/2/2022) local time. The Japanese manufacturer only brought a few minor updates, the livery didn’t get any major changes either.

The dark blue color with the black combination still dominates the Yamaha factory team. The layout of the blue and black colors is almost similar to the previous motorcycle version. However, for this season, the Monster Energy Yamaha team has received a number of new sponsors who will attach to the 2022 YZR-M1 body.

The only difference between the Quartararo motorcycle livery and the Morbidelli is only the racing number. Quartararo, who won the MotoGP world title last season, kept the number 20 in red. While his teammate Morbidelli, carrying the racing number 21 with a bright green color.

The rest, the form of the motorbike belonging to the Yamaha factory team does not have many striking changes when compared to last season. In fact, the shape of the aero fairing of the 2022 Yamaha YZR-M1 is still the same as that used last season.
